Description and properties
“Structure” Textured Facade Paint by TM “Bayris” is designed for creating thin-layer decorative effects on a wide range of surfaces. It is used for the decorative and protective finishing of building facades and interiors, as well as areas exposed to intensive wear and environmental influences. The paint can be applied to properly prepared cement, gypsum, plasterboard and concrete substrates, cement-lime, polymer and polymer-cement renders, and for the renovation of existing paint coatings.
“Structure” by TM “Bayris” is free from strong odours and toxic substances. It is easy to apply, provides excellent coverage and helps conceal minor surface imperfections. The resulting coating is white, textured, medium-grained (particle size class S2 – less than 300 μm), with a dry film thickness class E3 (not less than 100 μm), resistant to repeated cleaning with non-abrasive detergents, and resistant to algae, mould and fungal growth.
Environmental benefits are confirmed in accordance with the requirements of the international ISO 14024 standard.
Product and surface preparation
Before application, the paint should be thoroughly mixed with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
The substrate must be properly prepared, sound, evenly absorbent, degreased, visually clean, dry and free from dust, mould and other biological contamination. To equalise absorbency and protect the substrate from microorganisms, Bayris primers should be used according to their instructions. Polymer-cement finishing renders should be allowed to cure for at least 72 hours before paint application.
Application
Apply the paint in a single coat using a spatula, roller or projection gun (render spray gun). Immediately after application, create the desired texture using suitable decorative tools.
To ensure colour consistency on large surfaces, application should be carried out continuously using the “wet-on-wet” method, using material from the same production batch or by mixing different batches together. Any interruptions should be made in the least visible areas, such as corners and natural joints. Wash tools with water immediately after use.
IMPORTANT!
The ambient and substrate temperature during application and drying must be between +5°C and +30°C, avoiding direct sunlight, with relative humidity not exceeding 80%.
The paint should not be applied during strong winds, rain or direct sunlight without the use of suitable protective screening (mesh protection).
