Application

Deep Penetrating Primer “DP Grunt” PR3 by Bayris is designed to strengthen all types of fine-porous, loose mineral substrates with high water absorption (lightweight concrete, plaster, gypsum and brick surfaces, etc.) before filling, painting, wallpapering, tile fixing and other plastering and decorating works. Recommended for equalising substrate absorbency and improving the adhesion strength of decorative materials to mineral surfaces. Deep Penetrating Primer “DP Grunt” by Bayris is suitable for both interior and exterior applications.

Characteristics

Deep Penetrating Primer “DP Grunt” by Bayris is supplied ready for use, free from strong odours and toxic substances. The product deeply penetrates and strengthens the substrate, equalises water absorption and reduces the consumption of subsequent decorative and protective materials. After drying, forms a transparent film that does not hinder vapour permeability.

Surface Preparation

Surface preparation shall be carried out in accordance with applicable construction standards. The substrate must be visually clean, dry and free from loose particles. If necessary, clean from dirt, dust, grease, traces of biological contamination, residues of oil-based and lime paints, etc.

Application Method

Apply at substrate and ambient temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C (avoiding direct sunlight) and relative humidity between 50% and 80%. Do not dilute with water. Before use, thoroughly mix Deep Penetrating Primer “DP Grunt” PR3 by Bayris.

Apply in a continuous and even layer using the “wet-on-wet” method with a brush, masonry brush, roller or spray equipment until the substrate is fully saturated. Immediately after completion of priming, clean tools with water. Further finishing works may be carried out after 4–6 hours.
