Application

Bayris “For All Types of Concrete” plasticiser is designed to regulate the properties of all ready-to-use types of concrete (reinforced and non-reinforced), mortar mixes and dry construction mixtures. It is used for screeds, monolithic construction, masonry and other types of construction work. Added during the production of ready-mix, decorative and hydraulic concrete, machine-laid concrete, above-ground and underground engineering structures, as well as reinforced concrete products.

Characteristics

A universal additive by Bayris that reduces the mixing water content by up to 15% without changing the consistency. Slows setting and hardening while maintaining the workability of the concrete mix. Increases density and provides excellent waterproofing properties for finished products. Makes it possible to achieve high early strength in concrete products. Ensures high frost resistance and prevents efflorescence during эксплуатации. The resulting surface is perfectly even and smooth.

Application Instructions

Apply at substrate and ambient temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Add to the concrete mix simultaneously with the mixing water. Ensure even distribution of the additive by thorough mixing.

Warning!

Do not add to dry components.

Consumption

(0.25–0.5) L per 50 kg of cement depending on the mineral composition of the cement, filler characteristics and intended application.

FAQ
What Is a Plasticiser and Why Is It Used in Concrete?

A plasticiser is a specialised chemical admixture designed to improve the plasticity and workability of a concrete mix while reducing the amount of water required. This makes concrete easier to place and helps improve the quality and durability of the finished structure.

What Applications Is This Plasticiser Suitable For?

The product is designed for use in screeds, monolithic construction, masonry work, and the production of ready-mix concrete, decorative concrete, hydraulic concrete, machine-placed concrete, as well as precast reinforced concrete products and civil engineering structures.

What Types of Concrete and Mixes Is It Suitable For?

BAYRIS “For All Types of Concrete” Plasticiser is suitable for all ready-to-use concrete mixes, including reinforced and non-reinforced concrete, mortar mixes, and dry construction mixes.

How Does BAYRIS Plasticiser Affect Water Demand?

The admixture allows the amount of mixing water to be reduced by up to 15% without affecting the consistency of the concrete mix. This improves the density, uniformity, and overall performance characteristics of the hardened concrete.

Does a Plasticiser Improve Concrete Workability?

Yes, the plasticiser slows the setting and hardening of cement, helping to maintain consistent workability of the concrete mix and making it easier to place, compact, and level.

How Does a Plasticiser Affect Concrete?

The use of BAYRIS Plasticiser helps increase the density and early strength of concrete. The finished surface becomes smoother, more uniform, and more resistant to the effects of moisture.

Does a Plasticiser Improve Concrete Water Resistance?

Yes. By reducing the water-to-cement ratio, the plasticiser improves the water resistance of hardened concrete and helps reduce the risk of efflorescence during service life.

How Should a Plasticiser Be Added to Concrete?

The plasticiser should be added together with the mixing water. To ensure even distribution of the admixture, the concrete mix must be thoroughly mixed.

What Conditions Are Required for Concreting?

Concrete work is recommended at substrate and ambient temperatures between +5°C and +30°C, while following standard concreting procedures and good construction practice.
