Application
Bayris Lime Substitute “For Plastering and Masonry Work” is designed to regulate the properties of cement-sand mortars that are constantly exposed to atmospheric conditions and require enhanced frost resistance and water resistance. Recommended for plastering applications and for laying all types of brick, aerated concrete and foam concrete blocks, ceramic tiles and wall tiles. A specially developed additive designed to replace lime.
Characteristics
An active additive that creates a large number of closed air pores within the structure of freshly prepared mortar during mixing. The material improves plasticity, prevents mortar settlement, maintains viscosity and workability during technological pauses, and makes application easier and more convenient. After the concrete (mortar) hardens, closed micro-pores are formed, reducing water absorption and water penetration. The additive increases the frost resistance of masonry and plaster layers. Creates a “breathable plaster” effect. Prevents efflorescence, reduces the risk of cracks and stains, and does not cause corrosion of steel reinforcement. Helps reduce the cost of mortar preparation, construction work and transportation services.
Application Instructions
Apply at substrate and ambient temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Add to the concrete mix simultaneously with the mixing water. Ensure even distribution of the additive by thorough mixing.
Warning!
Do not add to dry components.
Consumption
Masonry work: (0.25–0.5) L per 50 kg of cement. Plastering work: (0.3–0.6) L per 50 kg of cement for plastering mortars.
