Application
Bayris “Beton-Contact” Primer is designed for preliminary priming and strengthening of prepared mineral substrates before the application of plasters, fillers, tile adhesives, self-levelling floors and paints. Suitable for both interior and exterior use. Bayris “Beton-Contact” is applied to monolithic concrete substrates, decorative mouldings, fibreboards, brickwork, cement-lime and cement-sand plasters, gypsum surfaces, embedded metal elements before applying gypsum or cement plasters, marble-chip floors, as well as glazed ceramic tiles and glass surfaces.
Characteristics
Environmental benefits are confirmed in accordance with the international standard DSTU ISO 14024. “Beton-Contact” does not cause allergic reactions or irritating effects. Free from strong odours and highly toxic substances. The primer forms a rough layer with solid particles on smooth, dense and low-absorbency substrates, ensuring enhanced adhesion of subsequent finishing layers to the base surface. The material bonds effectively only to the upper layer of the substrate and therefore must be applied exclusively to sound and durable surfaces. The resulting coating improves the moisture resistance of the substrate while maintaining vapour permeability. Enhances the durability and protective properties of the coating system against mechanical and atmospheric influences. In liquid form, the primer has a slight pink tint. The dried coating is colourless.
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be level, solid, free from signs of deterioration, visually clean, dry, free from dust and loose particles, and suitable for treatment.
Application Method
Apply at substrate and ambient temperatures between +8 °C and +25 °C and relative humidity between 50% and 80%. Do not dilute with water. Before application, thoroughly mix the primer to a uniform consistency using a low-speed mixer. Apply using a roller, brush or mechanical spraying method. Clean tools immediately with water after use. Further finishing works may be carried out 24 hours after priming, provided that the resulting coating is scratch-resistant.
Warning! During application and drying, protect the surface from direct sunlight, rain and wind until the material has fully dried.
