Description and properties
“Eco Home” interior lime paint by TM “Bayris” is designed for decorative and protective painting of walls and ceilings in residential, office and public buildings with low traffic and light wear. The resulting finish is snow-white, matt, with a slight mineral texture that helps conceal minor surface imperfections. The coating is vapour permeable and allows the substrate to breathe.
The coating has natural antiseptic properties, helping to reduce the risk of mould, fungi and other biological growth. “Eco Home” by TM “Bayris” is recommended for painting lime plasters and lime fillers. It can be applied to new or previously lime-painted surfaces made of cement, cement-lime and lime plasters, concrete, brick and plasterboard.
The lime paint is free from strong odours and toxic substances. It is easy to apply and provides excellent hiding power. The coating is resistant to gentle cleaning and achieves Class 5 wet scrub resistance according to EN 13300.
Environmental benefits are confirmed in accordance with the requirements of the international ISO 14024 standard.
Product and surface preparation
Before application, the paint should be thoroughly mixed using a low-speed mixer until a uniform consistency is achieved.
The substrate must be carefully prepared before painting. It should be sound, evenly absorbent, degreased, visually clean, dry and free from dust, mould and other biological contamination. Bayris primers appropriate to the substrate should be used to equalise absorbency. Lime and cement plasters must be allowed to cure for at least 14 days before painting.
Application
Depending on the substrate and application conditions (temperature, humidity, porosity and substrate type), the paint may be diluted with up to 10% water for the first coat. Dilution of the finishing coat is not recommended. “Eco Home” lime paint by TM “Bayris” should be applied in two coats using a brush, roller or spray equipment.
Application should be carried out at substrate and ambient temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C, avoiding direct sunlight, and at relative humidity not exceeding 80%. The minimum interval between coats is 3–6 hours depending on temperature and humidity conditions.
To ensure colour consistency on large surfaces, painting should be carried out continuously using the “wet-on-wet” method, using material from the same production batch or by mixing different batches together. Any interruptions should be made at corners or other less visible joints. Wash tools with water immediately after use.
IMPORTANT!
The coating develops its full performance properties 28 days after application.
The paint can be tinted into light shades using alkali-resistant pigment pastes, either manually or by machine. Before tinting, check the compatibility of the paint and pigment by applying a test area. If the colour dries evenly, the pigment is suitable for use. Tinted paint cannot be returned or exchanged.
Recommended for painting lime plasters and lime fillers. Designed for decorative and protective painting of walls and ceilings in residential, commercial and public buildings with low traffic and light wear.
