Purpose
Deep-Penetrating Anti-Fungal Primer “DPA Grunt” PR3 by BAYRIS is designed to strengthen all types of fine-porous, loose mineral surfaces with high water absorption, including lightweight concrete, plaster, gypsum, brick, and similar substrates before filling, painting, wallpaper application, tiling, and other finishing works.
The primer helps prevent the growth of bacteria, mould, mildew, and blue stain fungi. It is used to equalise substrate absorbency and improve adhesion between decorative materials and mineral surfaces.
Recommended for use in areas with high humidity, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and basements, as well as rooms with poor ventilation. “DPA Grunt” PR3 by BAYRIS is suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
Characteristics
Deep-Penetrating Anti-Fungal Primer “DPA Grunt” by BAYRIS is supplied ready for use, with no strong odour and no toxic substances. The product penetrates deeply into the substrate, strengthening the surface, equalising absorbency, and reducing the consumption of subsequent decorative and protective materials.
It helps prevent the growth of bacteria, mould, mildew, and blue stain fungi. After drying, it forms a transparent film that does not reduce vapour permeability.
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be visually clean, dry, and free from peeling layers. If necessary, remove dirt, dust, grease, traces of biological contamination, and residues of oil-based or lime-based paints.
Application
Application should be carried out at substrate and ambient temperatures between +5°C and +30°C, avoiding direct sunlight, with relative humidity between 50% and 80%. Do not dilute with water.
Before use, stir the anti-fungal primer thoroughly. Apply evenly using the “wet-on-wet” method with a brush, broom, roller, or spray equipment until the substrate is fully saturated.
Immediately after application, clean all tools with water. The next stage of finishing work may begin after 4–6 hours.

Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Seek medical advice if necessary.
Construction waste must not be disposed of in general household waste containers. Dispose of waste according to local environmental regulations. Empty containers and liquid residues should be taken to authorised hazardous waste collection facilities.
VOC Content
VOC content in Deep-Penetrating Anti-Fungal Primer “DPA Grunt” PR3 by BAYRIS complies with VOC emission regulations for binding primers. The finished product contains no more than 9 g/L VOC.
