Decorative Protective Wood Stain Varnish "ALKIDLAZUR" by TM Bayris ("Alkidlazur" by TM Bayris) is a high-strength, heat-resistant varnish available in a range of 7 ready-made colours. It is designed for the decorative and protective treatment of prepared timber surfaces, including window frames, doors, garden furniture, timber house elements, fences, gazebos, etc., as well as brick, concrete products and stone, including facing elements of fireplaces and stoves.
"Alkidlazur" Wood Stain Varnish by TM Bayris is suitable for both softwood species such as spruce, pine and birch, and hardwood species such as oak, ash and acacia. Decorative Protective Wood Stain Varnish "ALKIDLAZUR" by TM Bayris is suitable for both interior and exterior use.
Characteristics
"ALKIDLAZUR" Wood Stain Varnish by TM Bayris forms a high-strength, heat-resistant glossy coating on the treated surface. It enhances the natural texture of timber, stone and other surfaces while adding colour. "Alkidlazur" by TM Bayris contains modified alkyd resin and high-quality pigments that provide excellent resistance to weathering, including UV radiation. The product is resistant to water and household detergents.
Product feature! Due to its heat resistance (coating resistance up to +150°C), "ALKIDLAZUR" Wood Stain Varnish can be used for finishing facing elements of fireplaces and stoves.
Surface preparation
Timber surfaces must be clean, dry (moisture content below 15%), sanded and free from dust. Any loose or deteriorated paint and varnish coatings must be removed. If the existing coating is sound, it should be lightly sanded to provide a key. Resinous deposits should be cleaned using a universal solvent. If the timber has not previously been protected against biodeterioration (damage caused by fungi and wood-destroying insects), we recommend using the "AQUAGRUNT" Bioprotective Wood Impregnant or the deep-preserving wood primer treatment "BASE-GRUNT" by TM Bayris. After applying bioprotective treatments, it is recommended to remove raised grain using fine sandpaper.
Concrete and other absorbent mineral surfaces should be pre-treated with DP GRUNT TM BAYRIS deep penetrating primer.
Application
Before and during application, the wood stain varnish should be stirred thoroughly to achieve a uniform consistency and colour. If necessary, dilute with "Lösungsmittel BAYRIS" solvent to a suitable working viscosity, but not exceeding 15% by weight. Apply two coats using a brush, roller or spray equipment, allowing at least 16 hours between coats. Application should be carried out at temperatures from +5°C to +30°C and relative air humidity not exceeding 80%.
The highest decorative effect is achieved on smooth, sanded timber surfaces and on properly primed mineral substrates.
Please note! The colour of the liquid product differs from the final colour achieved after application and complete drying. The colour sticker on the packaging is only an approximate representation. For colour selection, please refer to actual colour samples available at points of sale.

Any modification of the finished product composition, use of the product for purposes other than intended and/or failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions may significantly affect its performance characteristics. The suitability of the product for specific materials and/or compatibility with other materials must be determined by the user through trial application. The manufacturer shall not be liable for direct or indirect losses resulting from product use, as it is unable to control all conditions of application.
Health and safety / Disposal
Before use, read the instructions and product labelling carefully. Keep out of reach of children. Use only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas. When applying, wear a respirator and protective rubber gloves. May cause drowsiness and dizziness. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. If on skin or hair: remove contaminated clothing and rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. If inhaled: move the affected person to fresh air and keep at rest; if symptoms persist, seek medical advice and present the product packaging or label. If swallowed: rinse mouth thoroughly. Do not induce vomiting.
Contains aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, isoalkanes, 2-butanone oxime and zirconium 2-ethylhexanoate, which may cause an allergic reaction. Flammable liquid and vapour. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces. No smoking. Avoid release into the environment. Harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
Dispose of contents and container in accordance with all local, regional, national and international regulations.
VOC content
The VOC limit value for this product is: < 500 g/L. The ready-to-use product contains no more than 500 g/L VOC.
