Description and properties
“Sadivnyk” Paint by TM “Bayris” is designed for the decorative and protective coating of fruit trees, ornamental trees and shrubs, as well as outbuildings, fences and kerbstones. The paint forms a protective coating that helps prevent the growth of moss, mould and fungal organisms while allowing trees and shrubs to breathe naturally.
“Sadivnyk” paint improves frost resistance and reduces the impact of temperature fluctuations. It contains a naturally derived antiseptic, making it suitable for horticultural use without the risk of toxic contamination to fruit-bearing trees or their produce.
The coating protects against rodents, decay, pests and sunscald, while promoting faster healing of wounds and pruning cuts, helping to extend the lifespan of trees and shrubs. The resulting snow-white coating retains its protective properties for up to one year and withstands temperature fluctuations from -40°C to +40°C.
VOC migration levels comply with Ukrainian sanitary legislation in accordance with MV 8.8.2.4.-097-02 and the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Atmospheric Air” No. 2707-XII dated 16.10.1992. The product is free from strong odours and highly toxic substances.
Environmental benefits have been confirmed in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14024.
Surface preparation
Remove loose, dead and rough bark, as well as lichens and moss. For mature trees, use wire brushes, specialised scrapers or hardwood knives. Young trees should be cleaned by hand while wearing protective gloves or with wooden tools.
Particular attention should be paid to cleaning the bark between the trunk and the bases of the main branches, taking care not to damage healthy living bark.
Application
Before use, stir the protective paint thoroughly until a uniform consistency is obtained.
Apply during early spring and autumn at ambient temperatures between +3°C and +20°C and relative humidity not exceeding 80%.
If necessary, dilute the paint with water by up to 5% for the first coat only. Apply undiluted paint to pruning cuts and damaged areas. The paint should be applied to the trunk, extending 3–4 cm below ground level, and to the bases of the main branches up to a height of 1.5–1.7 metres above ground.
Apply two coats using a block brush, roller or spray equipment. The minimum interval between coats is 1–4 hours. Clean all tools with water immediately after use.
Drying time is 1–4 hours per coat at an air temperature of (20 ± 2)°C and relative humidity not exceeding 65%.
Coverage: from 170 g/m² per coat, depending on the substrate type, application method and painting tools used.
