Purpose
Special Wood Insect Killer "INSECTOLL" by TM Bayris ("Insectoll" by TM Bayris) is designed for the eradication of wood-destroying insects (woodworm, furniture beetles, longhorn beetles, termites, etc.) in infested timber at all stages of their life cycle. It is also used for the preventive treatment of timber against insect attack in both interior and exterior applications (without prolonged direct contact with the ground). The product may also be applied by injection into cavities within infested timber.
"Insectoll" by TM Bayris is used to protect timber elements of buildings (furniture, windows, doors, cladding, frames, log structures, etc.) and any other timber exposed to high service loads (rafters, supports, floors, fences, gazebos, garden furniture, posts, load-bearing timber structures, etc.).
Suitable for domestic, professional and industrial use. The product is manufactured in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
Characteristics
Ready-to-use special treatment "Insectoll" by TM Bayris provides long-term protection against wood-destroying insects and eradicates active infestations within timber. It does not alter the structure or colour of the timber, does not cause chemical degradation of cellulose and does not form a polymer film or salt deposits.
The insecticidal effect develops after application and may take between 1 and 14 days depending on the depth at which the insects are living within the timber.
Drying time
2–4 hours for each coat at a relative air humidity of 50–75% when applied to the surface.
Coverage
200 ml/m² – protection and prevention against insect attack; 300 ml/m² – eradication of wood-destroying insects.
Actual consumption depends on the timber species, structure, application method, timber absorbency and the size of the treated surface.
Surface preparation
The substrate must be visually clean, free from dust, signs of biological activity, stains and decay damage, and suitable for treatment (mechanically clean if necessary). The moisture content of the timber must not exceed 18%.
Application
Application should be carried out at substrate and ambient temperatures between +5°C and +25°C and at a relative air humidity of 50–75%. Before use, the "Insectoll" Wood Insect Killer by TM Bayris should be stirred thoroughly.
For preventive treatment: apply by brush, scrubbing brush, roller or dipping, ensuring an even continuous coat. One or two applications are recommended. For exterior use, after treatment and drying for at least three days, the timber should preferably be protected with decorative coatings such as paints, varnishes or wood stains. Clean tools with water immediately after use. Rooms where timber has been treated may be used after three days of intensive ventilation.
For timber infested with insects: the product should be applied by injection. Using a syringe, inject the solution into visible cavities created by the insects. Additional transverse barriers saturated with the treatment should then be created. Drill a series of blind vertical or horizontal holes (angled at 30–40° to prevent leakage) using a 3–4 mm diameter drill bit to a depth of approximately three-quarters of the timber thickness. Holes should be spaced 4–5 cm apart, with rows repeated every 50 cm along the timber element. Inject the treatment into all drilled holes. After absorption, repeat the injection process one or two more times. Where possible, wrap the treated timber element in thin plastic film.
Please note! Any modification of the finished product composition, use of the product for purposes other than intended and/or failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions may significantly affect its performance characteristics.
