Description & Properties
"EPOXY FLOOR ADHESIVE" by TM "Bayris" (Base, Component A) is designed for creating quartz and decorative polymer floor coatings to protect concrete, industrial floors, stairs, and mineral surfaces. It forms a smooth, high-gloss, self-levelling finish free from craters and air bubbles. The resulting coating exhibits outstanding resistance to mechanical loads, abrasion, impacts, chemicals, and water ingress. Ideal for use within the EPOXY PRO TM BAYRIS system.
Characteristics
Clear, high-gloss finish. Features excellent adhesion, deep penetration, thermal stability, and high resistance to frequent intensive washing. Can be tinted using EPOXY COLOR C pigment concentrates by TM BAYRIS.
VOC content complies with regulatory requirements (limit: 30 g/l, actual content: up to 20 g/l).
Key Feature! Must be mixed with Component B in strict ratio: A:B = 100:50 by weight (or 67% Component A : 33% Component B). Pot life after mixing is 90 minutes at +20°C.
Application Method
Surface Preparation: The substrate must be sound (surface strength ~1.5 N/mm², compressive strength min. 25 N/mm²), dry (moisture content max 6%), clean, and free of dust or oils. Prepare via diamond grinding or sanding. Fill cracks and voids using EPOXY-FIX TM BAYRIS repair compound. For heavy-duty areas, prime first with EPOXY PRIMER TM BAYRIS.
Mixing & Application: Add Component B to Component A and mix thoroughly with a low-speed mixer (250–350 rpm) for 5–10 minutes. Apply using a roller, brush, or squeegee at ambient temperatures between +12°C and +30°C (humidity below 80%). Important: substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point.
Coverage: 150–350 g/m² for priming; 0.9–1.3 kg/m² for topcoat. Recoat window: 16 to 48 hours. Sand can be broadcast over the wet resin for quartz floor systems.
Curing: Reaches full mechanical and chemical properties after 3 days (72 hours).
Storage & Shelf Life
Store in sealed original containers at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Protect from direct sunlight, heat, and freezing.
Shelf life: 24 months from manufacture date.
Safety Precautions
Handle with care: causes skin and serious eye irritation; may cause an allergic skin reaction. Keep out of reach of children. Read label before use.
IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. If irritation or rash occurs, seek medical advice. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Dispose of contents/container according to local regulations.
