Description and Properties
“LATEX KERAMO” ceramic matt latex paint TM “Bayris” (“LATEX KERAMO” TM “Bayris”) is designed for decorative and protective painting of walls and ceilings indoors on cement, cement-lime, brick, gypsum, plasterboard, wooden and wood-based surfaces, as well as wallpaper intended for painting. It provides a uniform matt finish, effectively hides surface imperfections and is recommended for areas subject to increased operational demands, including offices, educational facilities, hospitals and similar premises.
Characteristics
“LATEX KERAMO” ceramic matt latex paint TM “Bayris” (“LATEX KERAMO” TM “Bayris”) is easy to apply, does not splatter or leave streaks, effectively conceals uneven surfaces and offers excellent hiding power. “LATEX KERAMO” TM “Bayris” is highly resistant to intensive cleaning.
Special product feature! The coating provides wet scrub resistance with detergent of at least 30,000 cycles according to DIN EN 13300.
Surface Preparation
The surface intended for painting must be solid, dry, free from dust and grease contamination, and properly cured. Fresh cement-lime plaster may be painted after 3–4 weeks from application, gypsum plaster after 2 weeks. Old glue-based or lime paint coatings with poor adhesion should be removed. Surfaces previously painted with well-adhered emulsion paints should be washed with water and detergent, rinsed with clean water and dried. Uneven areas and cracks should be repaired with “Master Putz” TM Bayris putty. Areas affected by fungi should be treated with “Bio Stop” TM Bayris according to the instructions. Highly absorbent or fragile substrates should be primed with “Profi Grunt” TM Bayris according to the instructions.
Application
Before use, “LATEX KERAMO” TM “Bayris” (“LATEX KERAMO” TM “Bayris”) paint should be thoroughly stirred until homogeneous.
A sufficient amount of paint should be prepared for painting one continuous surface area. When tinting paints from different production batches or packaging sizes, the products should be mixed together. The paint may be applied by roller, brush or spray in 1–2 coats with an interval of 2–4 hours. Do not add lime or mix with other types of emulsion paint. Painting work should be carried out at surface and ambient temperatures above +10°C.
Tools should be cleaned with water. During and after painting, rooms should be ventilated until all odours have disappeared.
Important! Care of painted surfaces — under normal conditions, the coating achieves its full performance properties 28 days after application. Intensive cleaning of painted surfaces should therefore be avoided until this period has elapsed. Painted surfaces may be cleaned with water or warm soapy solution using a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid using hard-bristle brushes, as excessive friction during cleaning may cause glossy patches to appear on the painted surface.
Manufacturer’s warranty — the manufacturer guarantees that the paint meets the declared technical characteristics. Any modifications to the finished product composition, misuse of the product and/or use not in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions may significantly alter its quality characteristics. Suitability of the product for specific materials and/or compatibility with other materials must be determined by the consumer through trial application. The manufacturer is not responsible for direct or indirect damages caused by the use of the product, as all conditions of use cannot be controlled.
Tinting
“LATEX KERAMO” TM “Bayris” white paint is ready to use. The paint can be tinted using Bayris Color System tinting equipment or manually with colourants. Slight colour deviation from the reference shade may occur after drying.
Tinted paint cannot be returned or exchanged!
