Application
"DELFIN" Acrylic Waterproofing Treatment by Bayris is designed to form a thin waterproofing layer on surfaces in renovation projects and newly constructed residential, commercial and industrial buildings, increasing their durability and service life. Bayris DELFIN is used to protect concrete, reinforced concrete, stone, brick, asbestos-cement substrates, cement-sand renders and fencing elements against the destructive effects of water. In basements and below-ground areas, it can be used as an intermediate layer beneath waterproofing systems. Suitable for both interior and exterior use.
Important!
Not intended for application on foundations, horizontal surfaces (such as terraces), water tanks, gypsum-based or synthetic substrates, renders coated with synthetic paints, or surfaces exposed to continuous water pressure. It is not recommended for use as a substrate for subsequent painting.
Properties
After drying, DELFIN by Bayris forms a transparent, flexible finishing film that does not interfere with vapour permeability. It protects the substrate against surface water penetration, improves moisture resistance, water resistance and frost resistance. The coating is resistant to weathering, detergents and UV radiation. It helps prevent efflorescence, staining and green growth while enhancing the colour intensity of painted concrete products. In liquid form, the product is milky white.
Application Method
The substrate must be sound, even, dry, visually clean, free from dust and oil-based contaminants, and suitable for treatment. Apply at substrate and ambient temperatures between +8°C and +25°C and relative humidity between 50% and 75%.
Apply using a brush in one or two consecutive coats. Highly absorbent substrates should be treated again using the wet-on-wet method. Clean tools immediately with water after use. Further waterproofing works may be carried out 24 hours after the application of DELFIN coating.
