Intended Use
The "Gel Grunt" deep-penetrating gel primer by "Bayris" is designed for the preparation of mineral substrates prior to decorative finishing (painting, plastering, skimming, etc.), tiling, floor laying, and wallpapering. The "Gel Grunt" primer by TM "Bayris" is suitable for both interior and exterior use.
Properties
The "Gel Grunt" gel primer by TM "Bayris" is ready to use and free from pungent odours. It does not drip from decorating tools, prevents splashing during application, and leaves no run marks on the surface. It deeply penetrates and reinforces the substrate, evens out water absorption, and reduces the consumption of subsequent decorative and protective finishes. It significantly enhances the adhesion of subsequent coatings to the substrate. The primer is milky white and features a high polymer content.
Surface Preparation
Carried out in accordance with DSTU standards (DSTU-N B A.3.1-23:2013 and DSTU-N B V.2.6-212:2016). The substrate must be visually clean, dry, and free from loose or flaking material. If necessary, remove dirt, dust, grease, signs of bacterial activity, and residues of oil or masonry paints.
Application
Application should be carried out at ambient and surface temperatures between +5°C and +30°C (avoiding direct sunlight) and at a relative humidity of 50% to 80%. Do not dilute with water; the primer is ready to use! Stir thoroughly before use. Apply a continuous, even coat without missing any areas using a brush, block brush, roller, or sprayer. Wash tools with water immediately after priming. Proceed with the next stage of decorating work after 2 to 4 hours.

Coverage
From 150 ml/m² per coat, depending on the substrate's absorption rate, application method, and the decorating tool used. The exact coverage rate should be determined by a test application.
Health, Safety & Disposal
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid breathing vapours. Wear protective gloves. Avoid direct skin contact (may cause an allergic reaction). In case of contact with skin: wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation occurs: seek medical advice. Do not dispose of building waste in general household bins. Dispose of contents and packaging in accordance with national legislation (DSTU 4462.3.01:2006).
VOC Content
The VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) content of the "Gel Grunt" primer by TM "Bayris" complies with the requirements of the Technical Regulation on VOC emission limits (Order of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade No. 1394 dated 02.10.2018), subcategory "8": binding primers, limit up to 30 g/L. The actual VOC content in the ready-to-use product does not exceed 5 g/L.
